Updates and Everlan!
The site is being updated and I will continue to do so on a regular basis if possible until the new format is completed. Hopefully everything is in tip top shape by the end of the week.
--

Hyper! is currently preparing for Everlan with the new lineup containing old and new faces. Shredder, solraK, and tuned have been added to the group containing Jd, DirtySecret, and Sphere to complete the roster. The event takes place January 20-22. I look forward to see the new lineup in action and to play on LAN again. The competition in CEVO has helped tremendously in preparing us for the tournament. With more practice and effort, I believe an excellent finish can be obtained. Good luck to all of the teams participating, the event should be a lot of fun.

If anyone wants to get ahold of us, you can reach us in #teamhyper on the GameSurge or Quakenet network. I hope everyone had a great holiday and I look forward to a bright future with the team. Stay tuned to the channels and site for info on upcoming matches and events.

Recent Performances and Current Events
Season two closed out recently with a loss early in the playoffs to borderLine. We finished out the season 11-6. It wasn't a bad season, but could have been much better.

On the 5th, the team packed up for a trip to the CPL in Grapevine. We had a great time and did pretty well for the first time playing with this lineup. Even with the BYOC computer issues and a few other minor issues along the way, the team performed better than expected.

Our first match was against a mexican team (eS201) on de_dust2. After a brilliant 12-3 T side, some issues started to unfold on the CT side. We managed to pull it out though and win 16-10.

In the round of 32, we played the #13 seeded UK team riZe on de_cpl_mill. They were a talented group of guys, but our teamwork was on and we pulled it out 16-12 putting us in the round of 16. This match was a featured match on TSN and will be posted here as soon as it becomes available.

In the round of 16, we were up against the #4 seed Forbidden on de_inferno. We won the first seven rounds on T side and then lost the next eight. On CT side rounds went back and forth between us, but we received a major momentum boost by winning an eco round midway into the half. After that, we finished them off in the next few rounds. This put us in the quarter-finals.

The next morning we played Upper on de_cbble. Upper originally was the #2 seed, but for some reason was bumped down to #12. They played a great game and none of us really played that well at all. We ended up losing the match 16-6.

We were forced to play MTW immediately following the match with Upper for some reason. This was something the team was not prepared for. We lost the match 16-8 to end our CPL run. The final standing was 9-12th place.

Now we are preparing for our 3rd CAL Season in the Invite League. This will be an adventure as it is our first season in invite. Hopefully with the proper practice and direction it will be a success. There will be pictures up and additional media in the near future.

Welcome to the new Hyper! look
I would like to take a moment and welcome everyone to our new site and look. A big thank you goes out to orbital media for the design and assisting in getting everything started.

A lot of big events have occurred recently inside the team. Several members from the Hype have merged with us in order to remain competitive and active. This will give us a boost for both CAL and CPL. Our practice and development of the team will continue throughout the season, but it is coming together nicely. Right now we are charging through week five of our CAL-M season. So far the season has been decent, but it can always improve. As always, I appreciate the support from everyone and wish you the best throughout the season. Stay tuned for big news and events down the road.
